Howdy all,

Events this week (5th November - 9th November)
1) Wednesday - Rock Soc Pubcrawl; 6pm onwards, The K-Bar
Another chance for everyone to meet up and join the Rock Soc on another pub crawl to some of canterbury's finest pubs and bars. We will be meeting at the K-Bar at 6pm before leaving to head into town around 7ish. Then, we will visit Westgate 'spoons, the HobGoblin and Westbar before going to the Beercart Arms for Cockrock, their classic rock night! Everyone is welcome and the more, the merrier!
2) Thursday - 'The Lighthouse Amplified!'; 9pm-1am, The Lighthouse:
Our weekly club night hosted by our resident DJ's in the Lighthouse. Free entry for paid Rock Soc members and £4 for non-paid members. Also, if you have any trouble paying online, then drop us an email at fak5@kent.ac.uk with the problem!
3) Friday - 'Amplify!'; 8pm-12am, The Missing Link:
This week will see two great live bands playing in the Missing Link - The Roulette Dares and One Day Elliot. |

2) Friday - 'Amplify!'; 8pm-12am, The Missing Link:
This week will see our Halloween Party in the Missing Link! Entry is free to all! And every person wearing a costume will recieve a free Rock Soc Cd with 12 songs from the various bands that have played for us this term and last term. Also, the live bands this week are Long Piggy, Venxia and Snish!
Finally, there will again be a bar in the Missing Link so just turn up, have a drink and have fun! |

| Fresher's Week Mayhem! |

So there are freshers in these parts, and the start of term is but days away. You know what that means: Kentrocksoc Rampage! Yes.
The fresher collecting begins on Thursday afternoon, where the committee will have a table in Eliot college. There will also be many an enthusiastic person with flyers bouncing around campus luring the Freshers to the best society on campus (its official, i CAN say that).
So whether you want to help out with the recruiting, renew your own membership or just come and have a poke at those who will be there all day, get yourself up that hill on Thursday afternoon!
And don't forget about the all day event on Saturday. We'll be showing those first years what they signed up for! The first band will be kicking off at 1pm and the final band ending the day's entertainment at 11pm. |

Just incase any of you have not heard via other means the results of this weeks committee elections were as follows:

Thanks to everyone who voted. We, along with the rest of you of course will be looking to make the next year a fantastic one for the rocksoc.
Unfortunately, exams and the resulting noise bans mean that you won't be seeing any of this promised greatness until September. Which just leaves wishing everyone a fantastic summer.

However, if your not running for anything then still come along and vote for people since they will be directing Rock Soc for the next year! |

This Friday sees Amplify travel back in time to the decade that fashion forgot ... or depending on who you are, the decade that fashion embraced!
DJs for the night will be Tristan, James, Paul, and the opening and closing sets will be taken by none other than President Andy
So, dress up in your best 80s gear and come along, it should be a great laugh!

Howdy all!
Tomorrow we have two great bands playing for us at Amplify. The first band is Phoenix de Nova and the second band is Shotgun Junky (http://www.myspace.com/shotgunjunky).
Also, as per usual, we will also have an array of DJ's playing brilliant songs for us as well.
This event starts at 8pm in the Atom Bar at Rutherford and finishes late.

Howdy!
This friday sees Gabi and the Whoremoans playing live at the Atom Bar in Rutherford. The night kicks off at 8pm with music from our regular DJ's. Gabi and the Whoremoans will be playing a great set from 9pm onwards. After their set, expect some more brilliant music!
